A pediatric physician with over 15 years of experience, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva serves as an associate executive director for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in Illinois. He joined AAP in 2012 and has since led the implementation and development of new strategies, departments, and divisions. Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva also works at the Medical College of Wisconsin as a professor of pediatrics, where he focuses on inpatient disciplines related to the pediatric intensive care unit.
He graduated from the Armed Forced Medical College in India during the start of his medical training, and later attended the Medical College of Wisconsin for his master of science in epidemiology and biostatistics. His studies in epidemiology continued throughout the years between 1993 and 1997, during which time he completed the necessary coursework for a doctor of philosophy in epidemiology with a focus in health policy and management and biometry. Furthermore, he graduated cum laude from the University of Strathclyde in 2003 with a doctor of business administration in management sciences.
D. Sachdeva is also the author of numerous articles, abstracts, and presentations on a variety of pediatric topics, and his work appears in textbooks, medical journals, and other publications.
